Earlier this year I spent the day skiing with friends and found out that our little mascot Totoro enjoys the Rockies as much as we do! I took him in my Marmot backpack and stop so often to snap a picture of him around the beautiful landscape around us. I started skiing when I was older, around my mid-twenties; and although my busy life as a student in Japan and consequently as a professional and mom in Canada took me far from the slopes at times, I never really lost my passion for skiing! I LOVE to ski!
So when I say that being in Canada was just part of my destiny, and that I love winter, I really feel that my life was just the way it was meant to be. Winter comes and I can wait to hit the slopes and smell the fresh air and jump on that white powder! Sitting on a chairlift, I was looking for good spots to take my Totoro pictures. The majestic and beautiful landscape is not short of good places and this day was just perfect! Perfect lighting, not so windy, just amazing snow and skiing. Early winter with the low sun there is less sun effect on the snow, so powder stays fluffy longer. Comments are closed.
