On August 16th, 2015, a overcast day I decided to challenge myself to a solo hike to Plain of Six Glaciers in Lake Louise. It was a last minute decision to try the second tea house in Lake Louise. It ended up being a solo hike, because I was suppose to go to the popular Agnes Tea House with some girlfriends, but the prediction for rain unfortunately scared them out. I was OK with it, because I always wanted to try the hike to Plain of Six Glaciers and it became a great opportunity to challenge myself.
The trail to the Plain of Six Glaciers took me pretty close to the heart of Mount Lefroy, Mount Victoria and the Victoria Glacier. it was a good opportunity to safely take amazing pictures of the glaciers covered with fluffy powdered snow. This one became one of my favorite hike spots as it offered incredible views, and plenty of opportunity to see wildlife, and the best of all was to enjoy a warm cup of tea with a delicious bow of soup at the tea house. It was a moderately challenging hike, and the first few kilometers of the route was along an easy and relatively flat shoreline trail.
