Today we went snowshoeing around Emerald Lake in Field, BC. Kerry got new snowshoes for Christmas. Snowshoeing along the frozen lake on a -20°C crisp weather and beautiful snowed covered landscape took pretty much all day. We left early in the morning and came back to the lodge just close to sunset. It was pretty cold outside, but I was still in love! What a fun winter activity! A walk with a twist. And really, what's not to love?! Snowshoeing through glistening pillows of snow on a brisk winter day in Yoho National Park sure brings a smile to anyone's face. During our long winter months one can find more than enough snow around Field to enjoy a true snowshoe experience. Snowshoeing is really simple and inexpensive way to explore the peaceful snow-blanketed forests of the Canadian Rockies. Totoro came along and we snapped beautiful pictures with him along the lake.
