Another amazing time in the mountains with my tribe! Spending time in the mountains is my forever happy time! It was an awesome scramble with some fun bushwhacking involved. This time we headed to Association Peak in Kananaskis. We started to hike at 2pm with the intention to experience the beauty of the sunset and full moon at the peak. We found lots of beautiful wild flowers, and the mosquitoes/bugs were crazy!! This was a very challenging and long hike in the afternoon and through the night. It took us close to 11 hours including some breaks to the top, but sadly we didn't summit. One of our friends had an accident (fall) and she had to be lifted by helicopter. It was a scary experience to request for a rescue helicopter to land on a difficult terrain in the mountains. Glad she is recovering well and can't wait to be back in the mountains. Even though the approach is painful sometimes, this was an awesome moderate scramble. Descend at night with the sight of the full moon. Loving my adventure seeking group!
